dual recognition of the superior quality and the origin of Label Rouge Scottish salmon.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tA benchmark for Quality\t<\/h2>\n\t<p><strong>The quality manual for Label Rouge LA 33\/90 specifies all the requirements<\/strong> for attaining this superior quality standard.<\/p>\n<p>The following are significant elements of Label Rouge Scottish salmon&#8217;s exceptional quality :<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Slow growth of fish in accordance with their natural rhythms (between 8 and 16 months in fresh water, then between 10 and 24 months in the sea).<\/li>\n<li>Farming conditions that promote firm flesh.<\/li>\n<li>Controlled fat content in the flesh.<\/li>\n<li>An identification system guaranteeing total traceability and absolute freshness.<\/li>\n<li>Respect for fish welfare, the environment and sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Guaranteed Scottish origin<\/li>\n<li>Controls carried out at every stage of production by an accredited independent body<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/saumonecossais.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/page-selr-etiquette.jpg\" alt=\"\u00e9tiquette du Saumon \u00c9cossais Label Rouge\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"550\" width=\"500\" title=\"\u00e9tiquette du Saumon \u00c9cossais Label Rouge\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/saumonecossais.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/logo-label-rouge.png\" alt=\"Label rouge\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"159\" width=\"196\" title=\"Label rouge\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tWhat is the Label Rouge ?\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Label Rouge is an official endorsement of the superior quality of a food or farmed product.<\/p>\n<p>To obtain this recognition, a very stringent set of standards prepared by a group of producers must be approved.<\/p>\n<p>These standards establish the criteria which the product must meet, in particular with regard to farming techniques, feed, equipment and sites, hygiene and staff training.<\/p>\n<p>Approval is officially announced through a joint decree from the Minister for Agriculture and the Minister for Consumer Affairs, on the recommendations of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inao.gouv.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Institute for Origin and Quality (INAO)<\/a>.\u00a0 INAO is the French public body responsible for quality and origin marks relating to food products.<\/p>\n<p>Scottish Quality Salmon is the holder of Label Rouge No. LA 33\/90.\u00a0 Compliance with the standards is controlled by an independent certifying body, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodcertint.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Acoura &#8211;
